Steel matting, or welded wire mesh, is a type of fencing consisting of longitudinal and traversal wires that are welded together at all points of intersection. It comes in sheets or rolls and manufactured using cold-drawn, high-tensile steel wire. Its primary use is to provide rigid support while still maintaining minimal weight.
