This target as are all of our 3/8″ HEXALLOY 550 steel is rifle rated too making it another versatile MGM product for handgun, rifle and shotgun use. Of course, it’s made in America! The 8 inch target is one of the few targets that have been used at many of the Cowboy Action competitions, for shotgun targets. It comes standard with the “foot flag” that so many people shooting light loads have grown to hate it! The principle is, when you hit the target solidly, it goes down and the foot flag comes up. The ‘sheriff’ can see a flash of whatever bright color you choose to paint the bottom of the foot with and confirm it was a good hit. If he doesn’t see the color, it wasn’t a good hit, and the cowboy gets dinged for a miss – No real cowboys were shooting light loads!
